About the job:The Flex Sales Representative is a member of the
sales team who is responsible for helping customers obtain the
information they need to purchase from School Outfitters via
various channels of business. Responding to incoming customer
calls, chats or other sources while building rapport and
strengthening relationships with existing customers. Answering
questions and educating customers on product solutions to meet
their project needs. Promotes, sells and secures orders from
prospective and existing customers.This position is designed to be
a cross-trained individual that can be used to support several
positions within the Sales department. The person will support all
avenues of sales including, but not limited to, phone sales, chat
sales, business development, web/transom sales leads, tradeshow
leads, assisting with SPM leads as well as any other position
within the sales department that may need assistance based on the
needs of the business.This position will serve a primary work group
and participate in the shift rotation with the rest of the work
group. There will be times though when the Flex Sales
Representative will not be logged in to the phone or Live Person
depending on the time of the year and needs of the business. It is
expected, however, that May through September will be spent in
normal sales type activities directly engaging with customers via
inbound phone calls or incoming chat requests.Compensation package
range $41k-$47k What a typical day would look like:Responds to
inbound sales calls and effectively assists customers.Responds to
inbound chat inquiries and effectively assist customers via the
Live Person instant messaging network.Make outbound calls to
current School Outfitters accounts to generate new prospects, grow
current business and educate customers on company's core
competencies.Facilitates team training and shares in-depth customer
knowledge with the management team.Qualifies and develops sales
ready leads through targeted outbound calling and emails.Attending
tradeshow events and customer installations as needed, to
coordinate logistics and provide onsite support.Develop and
maintain sales pipeline of opportunities to achieve lead generation
goals as established by the Company.Assisting the company in
cultivating leads within the K-12 market.Aids customers with their
questions and probes to understand the customer's needs.Offers
solutions to secure or retain the customer's business and grow the
relationship by offering compatible products.Provides price
quotation and additional information the customer may need to
consider a purchase.Persuades the customer to purchase by asking
for the order and effectively responding to any
objections.Completes outbound telephone calls and emails to
follow-up with the customer to close the sale.Achieves sales
targets and daily activity metrics by maximizing
opportunities.Exemplifies proper etiquette when speaking with
customers and provides a positive customer experience.Participates
in training including product, software and sales training.Assist
with account research documents and complex quotes, as needed.High
level of understanding of SO's full product assortment, especially
our Exclusive Brand, and what products will solve our customer's
needs.Experts on contracts and key accounts within
territories.Assume additional responsibilities as needed.What you
will bring to the team:Ability to multi-task (handling 3-4 chats
concurrently).Ability to resource product information via tools
that are provided to you.Ability to independently research
information via the internet.Ability to work under pressure meeting
customer's deadlines.Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
and ability to navigate multiple computer systems as once.Strong
verbal and written communication skills.Strong active listening
skills.Self- motivated and driven with the ability to work in a
fast-paced environment.Sales experience is a plus.Chat experience
is a plus.Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or
exhibits.Superb attention to detail while multi-tasking and
demonstrating thorough organization with all sales
activities.Enjoys working cohesively in a team atmosphere to
