Do you have account receivable & QuickBooks? WE NEED YOU!!! Billing assistants create and send invoices, keep track of money owed by customers, and update records with new payments and customer information. They also send out reminders for payments and work directly with customers to follow up regarding money owed. Computer and data entry skills are important in this position, and organizational and mathematical skills are also important for collecting information to determine bill amounts and checking data for accuracy. Billing assistants may receive payments via cash or credit card, and payments may be made in person, via the internet, or by phone. They may also issue and send account statements when necessary and create periodic reports for management. Some billing assistants may work with accounts receivable to report the daily cash that has been received, and multitasking skills are important in this position to address multiple issues at once. Close attention to detail is also important to accurately review data and prevent and correct discrepancies. A high school diploma is often a minimum requirement for this position, and some employers may require a college degree. Read less Billing Assistant Tasks

  • Oversee the submission of electronic billing
  • Provide support to billing department with respect to billing and collection for client services
  • Enter ancillary charges into billing system
  • Perform one or more billing operations
  • Address billing issues, administrative issues
  • Support various billing and financial operations
  • Initiate all electronic billing set ups for clients
  • Maintain filing in accordance with department policy including invoices, proformas and correspondence
