Job Description:
Job Description Job Description This position supports the

equality, fairness, respect, and accountability. JOB SUMMARY: This
position manages cases, documents and investigates facts to ensure
all relevant information is considered for alleged rule violations
and performs work associated with various departmental projects.
Duties and Responsibilities: Researching information related to the
case. Drafting correspondence and notifications. Investigating
facts to ensure all relevant information is considered. Effectively
communicate with other staff and departments on rule questions and
guidance on how to proceed with certain violations. Corresponding
with parties regarding rules, bylaws, procedures and the regulatory
process. Processes alleged rule violations including: violations
related to the USEF Drugs and Medications rules, disciplinary
action complaints, NGB compliance complaints and opportunity to
participate complaints. Testifies before the Hearing Committee when
necessary and works with the General Counsel on Federation cases
Ensures documents/cases are effectively documented and processed
according to appropriate procedure. Processes non-negotiable funds
and changes in amateur/professional status upon assignment by
Director. Assist the Director with processing pre and post hearing
motions. Conduct Interviews of witnesses, document interviews and
phone conversations, and obtain affidavits. Organizing and tracking
file deadlines. Creating and maintaining reports related to files
processed. Preparing for hearings by copying, making evidence books
and exhibit lists, and preparing the hearing room. This includes
creating electronic evidence books when hearings are held via video
conference. Assisting the Director with preparing findings and
penalty submissions. Updating and maintaining cases using the
departments case management system. Providing customer service by
answering questions related to disciplinary action complaints, NGB
compliance complaints and opportunity to participate complaints,
alleged rule violations, informal resolutions, complaints/reports,
rules and bylaws related to the department and suspensions. Sends
out correspondence from the FEI to members regarding violations of
the FEI Rules. Processing requests from members to change their
membership status in compliance with Federation rules. Draft and
send responses to emails received in the Amateur Inquiry email
folder. Processing non-negotiable funds received from competitions
or from the USEF Finance Department. Correspond and meet with
Executive and Senior Staff members regarding files. Providing
assistance to the Director on Competition License Application
Disputes. Providing assistance to the Director on Licensed Official
Exemption Requests. Participates in the development of new policies
and procedures to promote consistency and efficiency, and reduce
risk of further litigation. Process suspension relief requests for
horses involved in pending cases Processes Warning Cards. Providing
assistance to other Case Managers when necessary. Required,
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong verbal and written
communication skills. Ability to diffuse difficult member
situations. Ability to work independently and maintain
impartiality. Ability to work with highly sensitive information and
maintain confidentiality. Ability to effectively operate basic
office equipment (i.e. copier, fax, etc.) Accurate data entry
skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically
Word, Excel, and Access. Strong attention to detail and
organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as a team member
with other staff in the department. Education and Experience: High
School diploma or equivalent preferred. Two years clerical or
customer service experience preferred. Some college preferred.
Legal, case management, witness interviewing, or horse services
experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods
sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift
up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25
pounds. (Anything over 25 pounds requires a two-person lift) US
