Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the FPI Inspector is
responsible for following all policies and procedures associated
with the various parts and equipment that they may be required to
run. In addition, inspectors must load/unload parts, inspect parts
using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts,
and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing. Analyze
and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and
travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer
specifications. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to
customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and
equipment as necessary, such as borescopes, rulers, calipers,
gauges, or micrometers. Perform and document the scheduled FPI test
log and reports Maintain, test, and replenish dipping solutions
Clean parts using chemical degreaser and parts wash machine Prep
parts using specialized material Inspect parts using ultraviolet
light Report proper labor hours in the ERP system Maintain a safe
and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
and reading technical publications. Follow all Hi-Tek policies and
procedures, including the use of proper PPE Accomplishes
organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and
different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job
accomplishment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to
maintain a working relationship with Quality and Engineering

autonomously and self-direct Good and reliable attendance and a

values Education and Experience: Must meet the ITAR definition of
§120.15 U.S. person High school diploma or GED required Must have
at a minimum a Level I FPI certificate with the ability to obtain
Level II FPI certification Experience in an
industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred
Experience with Repair and Overhaul FPI Inspection Experience with
other NDT fields, i.e., X-Ray Troubleshooting/problem-solving
skills Key Competencies: The ability to work efficiently with
others or independently as required Integrity and conscientiousness
in all work-related matters Safety conscious always Reliable
attendance within acceptable standards of the attendance policy
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Must be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally
and in writing in English Physical Demand Levels: Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, color
perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with the ability to
pass the annual vision test as required. Perform under AS9100
standards and NADCAP accreditation Lift, push, and/or pull up to
thirty-five pounds regularly Operate overhead crane or other
lifting equipment when necessary Stand at least 50% of the
scheduled shift Walking or sitting as needed to perform job duties
as assigned Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and
grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials Health and

3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. This hourly position has a generous shift
