Job Summary
BM2 Freight Services, Inc. is searching for a Sales Manager to mentor, train, and manage our Account Representative Trainees (ARTs) on proper sales acumen and operational excellence at our Corporate Office in Covington, KY. Our Sales Manager will report to our Director of Customer Sales and develop our ARTs while they are in BM2s sales training program in the following key focus areas: Prospecting, customer relationship building, sales closing, shipment management with our Open Board team, and finalizing shipments for billing.
During sales training, our Sales Manager will collaborate with our Training Department to assist in sales-related continuing education classes for our sales associates.

Sales Manager Responsibilities:


  • Mentor ARTs on cold-calling strategies, proper etiquette, and execution of sales calls with new and existing customers
  • Conduct one-on-ones with each ART to help them build a book of business and review their performance in accordance with our BM2 sales guidelines and expectations
  • Collaborate with our Operations Support Departments to provide necessary support for your team
  • Assist ARTs with warm calls after they have effectively secured a sales call with a new customer
  • Implement new processes with the Director of Customer Sales to enhance the development and success of your team
  • Provide guidance and coaching to ARTs as it pertains to the full sales cycle, quoting, operational excellence, shipment execution, and relationship building
  • Help ARTs develop strategies to diversify their books of business across all verticals and mentor them on the different modes and commodities to research.
  • Collaborate with BM2s Training department to develop and teach sales techniques and industry acumen to sales team members
  • Identify continuing education classes that might aid in the further understanding of the industry, market, and overall success of the organization


    Our ideal candidate will have:

    • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics or relevant field preferred
    • 5+ years of freight brokerage sales experience with demonstrated success
    • 2+ years of management experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
    • Excellent leadership, training, coaching, and development skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Heightened sense of urgency
    • History of building and managing a successful book of business in the logistics industry
    • Ability to establish trust and a strong rapport with direct reports
    • Ability to manage stressful situations in a professional, calm manner
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
    • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
    • Experience in customer relationship management
    • Experience managing and directing a sales team
    • Dedication to providing great customer service
    • Ability to lead a sales team
