Overview
Location: Covington and Burlington campuses
Position Summary
The Residential Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical
oversight and program aspects of the PRTF therapists and Case
Managers. The Residential Clinical Supervisor must be knowledgeable
of the Sanctuary Model of Trauma Informed Care clinical process,
diagnoses, and medications and be able to train others to ensure
clients are making therapeutic gains. - The Manager is responsible
for keeping the Vice President, CPO and the CEO informed of
significant events/situations within these programs.
Essential Job Functions
- Direct responsibilities for overseeing the clinical components
of the residential programs, including intake and discharge process
and ensuring treatment needs are being adequately
addressed.
- Responsible for the supervision, evaluation and training of the
case managers and therapists.
- Conduct regularly schedule supervision with case managers
including monthly case management meetings.
- Review case manager's documentation.
- Maintains current services and programs in accordance with
agency mission, policy and procedures that support and protect the
needs of the children in care.
- Ensures a safe and secure environment for the children served
and in accordance with state regulations and accreditation
standards.
- Enables and supports staff to perform their responsibilities
and develop their skills providing leadership, supervision and
annual evaluation.
- Provides licensure supervision for licensed staff as allowed by
licensure boards as applicable
- Assist with reviewing referrals for program admission.
- Schedules, attends and documents clinical and consultation
meetings. Reviews clinical assessments, treatment plans and other
documentation for clinical appropriateness, progress and discharge
planning. -
- Completes group/on call/and case consultation
schedules.
- Collaborates with the recruiter on the recruiting, scheduling
and placement of the interns/externs as well as
duties/activities/supervisors in order for the agency to utilize
them appropriately.
- Collaborates with the Director of Admissions and the Vice
President on the review and update of the Behavior Management
System.
- Develops, in conjunction with the QA team, effective
documentation methods within the agency data system.
- Supports all functions that attain and maintain COA
accreditation and compliance with regulatory agencies (in
cooperation with the Quality Assurance staff) developing,
evaluating and refining as needed.
- Participates in on call rotation.
- Attends treatment team meetings and monitors the clinical
progress of the clients.
- Develops a business plan for the Clinical components of the
Residential Programs.
- Assist with case coverage across programs as needed.
- Facilitates some group, individual and family therapy.
- Oversees the training and development (in cooperation of the
Directors) that enables the staff to grow in their position in
accordance with the goals of the agency. Obtain and maintain
training in evidence based practices and treatment modalities which
may include: Nurturing Parenting, Trauma Focused CBT, -JSOCCP
certification, PBIS, Seven Challenges and Trauma Informed Care.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Master's in Social Work or closely related degree from an
accredited college.
- Five (5) years' experience in Social Work/Counseling field
including supervisory experience.
- Independent licensure in Kentucky (LCSW) preferred
- Strong leadership, management and problem-solving
skills.
- Strategic and fiscal planning skills and abilities.
- A highly effective and skilled communicaton
- Must have a current driver's license and driver's
insurance.
- Demonstrate proven sensitivity to the various cultural and
socioeconomic characteristics of Children's Home clients and staff,
including a commitment to use of the Sanctuary Model and to the
philosophy of All Children, All Families framework of cultural
competencies.
Physical demands and work environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear; use hands to
finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms. The
employee is occasionally required to sit, kneel, squat, and hold
objects or carry.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
