The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge in wound management and will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients with various types of wounds. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal healing outcomes and improving the quality of life for our patients.*Duties** Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including size, depth, and signs of infection.* Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.* Administer appropriate wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and infection control measures.* Educate patients and their families on wound care management, prevention strategies, and overall health maintenance.* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to promote healing.* Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in medical records.* Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care practices.* Provide support and guidance to nursing staff regarding best practices in wound management.*Requirements** Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice.* Experience in primary care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or similar environments is preferred.* Knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care, hospice palliative medicine, or critical care is a plus.* Familiarity with occupational health practices is beneficial.* Previous experience in ICU or pediatrics may enhance your candidacy.* Strong assessment skills and attention to detail are essential for effective wound management.* Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams effectively.* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Join us in making a difference in the lives of our patients through expert wound care management!Job Type: ContractPay: $34.00 - $36.00 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Referral program* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* Wound CareWork Location: In personby Jobble
