Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/07/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with stroke/neuro focus, requiring KY or compact licensure and PCU or telemetry experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a stroke focus - Possibility of floating to other PCUs within the facility as needed - Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM - Requires working 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week period - Holiday coverage is required - Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months before returning to this facility as a traveler - All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved /n /n Requirements/n - Active KY or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration — no licensure hits will be accepted - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Progressive Care, Med/Surg Acute Care, or Telemetry experience required - EKG interpretation experience required - Neuro/stroke experience preferred - ICU experience is a plus - 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration - Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-677730.
