specialty areas: Wage and Investment - Accounts Management The
following are the duties of this position at the full working
level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are
selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to
learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow
in this position. Technical Work: * Performs a variety of
administrative tasks using an automated system which involves:
assigning, maintaining, monitoring, or updating work status and
inventory records; ordering research; acknowledging correspondence;
maintaining, updating and initiating personnel records;
timekeeping; and performing other support activity.
* Identifies and reviews Forms W-2 attached to Forms 1040EZ and
1040PC for conditions meeting Criminal Investigation criteria and
code the returns appropriately.
* Prepares and maintains regular production/inventory
reports/attendance records using established formats and sources of
data applicable to the program, functional, or organizational
reporting requirements. Prepares special reports as directed.
Clerical Work: * Screens documents, forms, and letters addressed or
routed to various offices; researches correspondence not addressed
to specific functional areas. Screens material initially identified
as "unable to route" to determine information requested and based
on thorough knowledge of organization and functions of various
offices, determines proper office which the material should be
sent. Identifies forms or documents requiring special priority
handling and treats them accordingly.
* Receives, opens, sorts, processes and distributes both incoming
and outgoing mail and products; routes mail and products to various
points within and outside the organization. Utilizes mail
processing devices as needed. Ensures all mail contains sufficient
information for proper delivery. Maintains logs for mail and
product accountability purposes.
* Receives and processes incoming and outgoing registered and
certified mail, and express mail shipments. Receives, inspects, and
accepts incoming shipments. Maintains appropriate records and/or
logs for tracking and reconciliation purposes. Updates appropriate
systems to reflect shipment receipts. Examines file materials to
identify primary subject matter and assigns proper classification
from among numerous overlapping possibilities. Determines file
number to be assigned. Help Requirements Conditions of Employment *

injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated,
depending on the course of ongoing litigation, the Federal

to temporarily telework on a full-time basis due to COVID 19.
Employees must be within a 200-mile radius of their official
assigned post-of-duty (POD) while in a telework status. Once normal
operations resume, employees may be directed back to the office to
perform the duties of their position. Telework eligibility does not
guarantee telework; employees must meet and sustain IRS telework
eligibility requirements and supervisor's approval to participate
in the IRS Telework Program. As a reminder - If you are selected

designated POD (location) on the negotiated start date or as
directed by management.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen or National and provide proof of U.S.
Citizenship. (Birth certificate showing birth in the U.S; Unexpired
U.S. Passport; Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization; or
Report of Birth Abroad of a U.S. Citizen (Form FS-240))
* Undergo a review of prior performance/conduct and an income tax
verification. Refer to "Get Your Tax Record" at to check the status
of your account, balance owed, payment history, make a payment, or
review answers to tax questions. If you are not in compliance, you
will be determined unsuitable for employment with IRS.
* Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your
suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the
agency.
* Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that
requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law
requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of
all new hires in the U.S. These documents must be unexpired
original or certified copies. Qualifications Federal experience is
not required. The experience may have been gained in the public
sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience
refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated
basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please

requirements by the time of referral: Basic Requirement GS-05: You
must have one year of specialized experience at a level of

needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. This may

education for specialized experience as follows: A Bachelor's
degree or four years of education above high school in any field of

* A recruitment incentive has been authorized for eligible, highly
qualified applicants. The incentive will be $1,000 and will require
a one-year service agreement. The service agreement details will be
provided to new employees prior to entrance on duty. This monetary
incentive will be disbursed as outlined in the service
agreement.
* These are full-time Seasonal positions with an initial season of
4-6 months which can be extended.
